When I was approached by the fine folks at The Radiator Café, who were seeking branding for their new café/bar in Denver’s charming Sunnyside neighborhood, and they mentioned their logo needed to feature a radiator, I nearly passed! Just joking—I'm always up for a good challenge.

They chose the name 'Radiator' because the space used to be an old radiator shop back in the 'old days'. I really wanted to convey that 'old days' feeling in their brand design but aimed to steer clear of the typical 'dirty old garage' imagery. Where I landed feels just right.

The Radiator logo seems like it's been a part of the neighborhood for generations, yet it still feels modern and relevant. The space has two distinct areas (the café side and the bar side), so I also designed a set of icons to further enhance the distinctiveness of each side while unifying them under one brand identity.
